ST. JOSEPH, Mo. - St. Joseph is heading into it's open burning season next month. Public Information Officer for the St. Joseph Health Department Stephanie Malita tells KXCV/KRNW that fires can only be burned from the hours of 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Other stipulations include: no fires within 15 feet of buildings, only one burn container per residence, all fires must be monitored with containment measures prepared, and only yard waste can be burned.
Yard waste includes things like leaves, brush and logs.
